This site has been designed so that as many people as possible can access it.
In addition to simplyfying web site access to people with physical or visual disabilities often our design approach to accessibility can enrich the online experience for the general public.
Philadelphia Luxury Homes has incorporated the use of reader friendly alternate css style sheets. Click the Dots at the top right to enlarge or reduce text font size. This sytle-switcher ability can remember your setting from one page and carry the selection throughout the site.
We have also included the ability for web visitors to custom fit their font size preferences to aide their online experience. Personal style sheets should refer to our body tag id - body id="philadelphia-luxury-homes".
Moreover, we urge you to incorporate the use of accesskeys, keyboard & address bar shortcuts to compliment your web browsing experience.
Wherever possible we have chosen to render the best standards-compliant web based practices in the development of this site. This includes the use of XHTML 1.0 to structure the site and CSS2 cascading style sheets to present the content. DOM or document object model is introduced as a W3C standards-compliant programming technique that initiates dynamic changes to designated web page content. Together, the W3C recommendations are powerful forward-compatible web design tools that eliminate the often opposing influences of proprietary browser design, application software, and web page markup.
This website is best viewed with a 17 inch monitor or 1024 x 768 pixel screen resolution. Visitors viewing the site on a compact laptop computer or those using a 15 inch monitor or 800 x 600 pixel screen resolution will still be able to view and navigate the website for information, but the presentation is best suited for larger desktop computer systems.
All pages on this site validate to the W3C standards for use in standards-compliant web browsers. Simplified keyboard navigation is crucial for people with limited mobility. Moreover, the W3C Consortium of web developers has promoted an itiative to provide website access to people with disabilities. Philadelphia Luxury Homes has incorporated the following three navigation approaches into our web page design and website architecture to ease site navigation for everyone.
While these techniques have been developed to facilitate navigation for people with disabilities, many experienced webmasters regularly use at least some of them to simplify and enjoy their online experience.

1. Accesskeys and keyboard shortcuts enable web page browsing without the use of a mouse. Accesskeys on this website enable keyboard navigation of external hyperlinks and significant internal web page anchors. Accesskeys and keyboard shortcuts furthermore, activate selected dynamic web page features.
This site uses both numerical and alphabetic accesskeys. Alphabetic accesskeys are assigned to the first letter of the navigation menu and provide movement from one web page to another throughout the site. Numerical accesskeys, similarly, are organized to the navigation menu position and CSS styles.
Global AccessKey Assignments: Open :: PDF
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 h a x s o p c f n m k i u d w
= Home = About = Clients = Office = Search = Philadelphia = Contact Philadelphia Luxury Homes = Default :: Trim Text Size = Alternate :: Big Text Size = Featured Homes = Home page = About: Duska Woods, Philadelphia Luxury Homes, Prudential = Clients :: Buyers & Sellers :: Search Service Described = Search: Center City Real Estate Market: Condos Lofts Townhouses = Office: Real Estate Services: Mortgage, Relocation, Calculator = Philadelphia: Neighborhoods, Places, Activities, Maps = Contact Philadelphia Luxury Homes = Featured Homes = Navigation Bar = Menu = AccessKey Assignments (This Page) = Colophon Site Information = Upgrade Browser = Lotus Web Media = Webmaster Services
2. All hyperlinks can be accessed by pressing Tab sequentially to the selected link and activated by pressing Enter.
3. Font sizes can be easily adjusted by using the text zoom feature of your favorite updated web browser or by selecting Accesskey '8' to activate the alternative CSS style.
4. Graphic content has been supplemented with brief Title and Alt text explanations of their content.
5. This Public Access Key page can be called from any web page simply by pressing Accesskey 'k'.
Note: Press 'Alt' + the designated alpha or numeric key' || Internet Explorer users will then press Enter to activate the key. Accesskey assignments in Internet Explorer override any preformatted or existing keyboard shortcuts. MacIntosh users will select 'Ctrl' rather than 'Alt' to activate accesskeys.

Keyboard shortcuts are instrumental to the physically challanged. Not able to use a mouse, shortcuts provide accurate keyboard control of browser applications. Moreover, many seasoned web surfers regularly incorporate keyboard shortcuts while navigating online.
Note: Mac OS users should also check their browser Help section for more specific keyboard navigation shortcut details, nomenclature, and accessibility tips.

We have incorporated the strength of CGI to provide a number of intuitive address bar shortcuts, activated from the server-side of this website. CGI or Common Gateway Interface is a digital language protocol that facilitates a dynamic interaction between the web server and you - the web page user.
In our case, we use a special program based on Custom Error Pages to assign brief alpha-numeric characters that redirect the user to vital web pages. Address bar shortcuts therefore can reduce the use of the keyboard for entering a complex web address. Designated address bar shortcuts are either simple numeric or alphabetic webpage abbreviations that follow the domain name address.
At Philadelphia Luxury Homes, numeric address bar shortcuts are based on the global navigation bar position. Notice that Home is '1'. About is '2'. Clients is '3'. Office therefore is http://www.PhiladelphiaLuxuryHomes.com/4.
Alphabetic address bar shortcuts are lower case and based on the significant keyword or keyletter of the anticipated web page content. For example, Search is either 's' or 'search'. Lofts is either 'l' or 'loft'. Similarly, Featured Homes is either http://www.PhiladelphiaLuxuryHomes.com/f or 'featured'.
Acknowledging the need for continuity, many AccessKey assignments also work as AddressBar shortcuts. For example, the AccessKey assignment for Featured Homes is alt + '0'. When this is mirrored as an AddressBar shortcut, Featured Homes is also '0'. Therefore, http://www.PhiladelphiaLuxuryHomes.com/0 will also automatically direct you to the Featured Homes web page.
When in doubt, simply spell out the familiar keyword (no trailing slash) and press Enter.
